The program will help you learn how to provide personal care and comfort for people living in health care settings. You will learn to bathe, dress, feed and transport people; obtain pulse and temperature; and report observations and reactions to the health care team. Nursing assistants prepare equipment, take care of the resident’s room and maintain resident records. You may assist people living with dementia and rehabilitation needs, and provide restorative care to help them maintain independence.
