Grant Awarded to Evergreen At Home

Evergreen At Home has received a $100,000 two-year grant from the Helen Bader Foundation of Milwaukee to further serve older adults with customized supportive services in their own homes. This is the largest community-based award in this giving cycle through the Helen Bader Foundation’s statewide Alzheimer’s and Aging Program.
 
Evergreen At Home was established to provide in-home services for people 55 years and older in Winnebago County. Services include personal care, emergency response system, transportation, bathing, socialization, respite care, homemaker services, and maintenance services including grab bar installation, fixture changes, and home safety checks. 

The grant will fund four key EAH services:

  • A spa bathing tub at Evergreen to be used solely for EAH clients who can no longer safely get in and out of their own tubs
  • The unique CareTracker 300 emergency response device that automatically calls for help from anywhere around the counrty without the user having to push a button
  • Life enrichment opportunities for EAH clients to combat social isolation in their homes
  • Caregiver training for staff and clients’ family/friends
