Words from Evergreen residents

There is a song from Camelot that includes the line "simply not a more congenial spot for happy ever-aftering than Camelot."  I would change it to "simply not a more congenial spot for happy ever-aftering than Evergreen!"

I didn't know what to expect. But this place is so vital and alive! There is youth and vitality at Evergreen. I'm glad I live here!

When moving to Evergreen I didn't lose anything and I gained a lot!

I didn’t decide to come here - my family made the decision. I was (at the Post Surgical and Rehab Center at Manor View) about 3 weeks. Everybody was wonderful. The help was fabulous. They were all polite and nice. And I went to church services (in the Evergreen Chapel) on Sunday.

When I moved to Evergreen I felt like I bought the best insurance policy ever. The weight of the world rolled off my shoulders. Every day I am so thankful for the privilege of being here.

I was very comfortable ... they were right on the button. My family knew I would be well taken care of; I felt safer; and I wouldn't be home alone. I just thought it was a great experience.

I came to Evergreen because you called me and said you had just what I wanted – a two-bedroom home with an especially nice patio on the south side next to the creek.  It met all of my criteria and I knew if I didn’t take it, it wouldn’t be available long.  So I came to Evergreen a year earlier than I planned!

I came with a wish list. I got just what I wanted – a patio looking out east and south, bookcases, and swimming pools for exercising.  Just perfect.  I like everything on one floor. And the view of the creek and the trees.  I love to see all of the wild life that come – deer, herons, egrets, hawks and other birds.

I find it to be a very caring place, a very supportive place, lots of things to do and enough communication with other residents so you feel like you belong to a group that is supportive. The one thing I enjoy the most is the Evergreen Choir. I used to sing so that is terrific for me. The instructor is great.
