Evergreen Retirement Community nurtures a unique culture that provides excellent
working conditions and the tools needed to support successful
careers.
We are proactive on health care issues and have established a national
reputation as a leader in the long-term care industry. Employees at
Evergreen are able to help people, use their God-given gifts and are
encouraged to reach their potential. We have high resident and staff
satisfaction with low staff turnover. We offer a stable environment
with long-term employees and opportunities to participate on significant
and meaningful teams. Evergreen offers employees a Christian-based,
team and family-oriented atmosphere.
We encourage our staff to “think outside the box”
and through their efforts we have incorporated programs like the
“World
of Thanks” event that celebrates and thanks Staff, Volunteers,
and Donors. The I.D.E.A. Program is
a vehicle that encourages staff to share inter-departmental
suggestions for improvement. The STARS program rewards staff for annual perfect
attendance with a $50.00 gift certificate. The Care To
Share Program gives all staff the opportunity to help fellow employees
during crisis.
Evergreen has a strong team environment where staff
can participate in the development of new teams or contribute to
standing teams. Staff and
residents have great satisfaction in
involvement with decision making to provide best practices to enhance
daily living at Evergreen. Wellspring (an alliance with long-term care

Evergreen is committed to personal and professional
growth for each individual. We promote education for staff through many
different avenues. We offer Life Skills and Talents classes where staff
can learn how to balance a checkbook, make a budget, use the Internet
and set up a Power of Attorney for health care and advanced directives
for family members. We offer education inservices like Parenting Tips,
Leadership, Dementia and Conflict Resolution. There are also
opportunities to attend outside inservices and conventions.
To best sum up Evergreen and our employees, here is
a quote from a thirty-five year employee, Lou Holdren, RN….
”Evergreen constantly strives to provide the best
care possible, physically, spiritually, mentally and socially.
Inservices are provided to promote learning and quality care.
Individual efforts and teamwork are recognized in special ways. The
staff (co-workers) work together and are like a family.”
