Post Surgical and Rehab Center
at Manor View Renovation Project

The Post Surgical and Rehab Center at Manor View completed a year-long major remodeling project in 2008.  In keeping with the Evergreen mission, this short-term rehabilitative living option is committed to providing an exceptional living environment and experience for its residents.

Now short-term residents can spend their post-surgical or rehabilitative stay in a more comfortable, soothing, charming environment with the same quality of care they’ve always received.

“We recognize that people come here after surgery or a stroke with some fears and some expectations and we want to provide comfort and the outstanding care they’ve come to know us for so we’ve added some pretty special amenities,” said Mary Draeger, manager of the Post Surgical and Rehab Center at Manor View.

Flat panel televisions and telephones are provided in each resident room.  Fire-safety sprinklers and an improved bathing spa with a walk-in shower and new state-of-the-art whirlpool tub have been installed.  In addition, personal laundry services are provided and books and “books on tape” from the Oshkosh Public Library are available. Evergreen was diligent in selecting custom window treatments and furnishings chosen with the needs of rehab patients in mind.

In addition to the delightful new surroundings, residents of the Post Surgical and Rehab Center at Manor View will also enjoy Evergreen’s unparalleled therapy services.  Not only do residents receive superior physical, occupational and speech therapy, but short-term residents realize the benefits of aquatic therapy as well.  Evergreen has two pools which were designed to provide the maximum therapeutic benefits based on each individual’s needs.

“Access to the pools gives our residents a very special and unique experience.  The programs we provide there promote healing.  Of course there are physiological benefits, but aquatic therapy has given our residents another form of comfort: because of the decreased risk of falling, they’ve realized great outcomes with balance issues,”  Draeger said.
