A dream
makes your heart glow, your mind expand,
stirs your will to grasp, and
extends you to the utmost
. . . until your dream comes true.
Oswald Chambers Our dream began in
1967 with Howard and Ruth Rowland whose dream of a retirement
community that would provide dignity, comfort, and security
became a reality through their own faith and generosity. In
partnership with the Wisconsin Conference of the United
Methodist Church, they established Evergreen Manor that later
became Evergreen Retirement Community. Their legacy is a vision
for a financially strong foundation able to meet the needs of
Evergreen Retirement Community.

that we must keep alive for the people we serve. Whatever life
may hold - independence, declining health, or dependence on
benevolent care - this dream must never be out of reach.
Together we can help safeguard the dreams of us all.

Donors are recognized in a number of ways . . .
The Founders Grove
Recognition Wall

especially for Evergreen as a special tribute to major
benefactors. Individual plates inscribed with
donors' names are placed among the pine boughs of the Evergreen trees and on the granite boulders below.
This artistic and impressive Founders Grove encourages gratitude for those who
inspire us to continue the spirit of giving. The following
levels of giving are recognized on Founders Grove:

$25,000 and above
Seeds of Greatness
$10,000 to $24,999
Seeds of Goodness $5,000 to $9,999
Other levels of giving are :
Seeds of Growth $1,000 - $4,999
Seeds of Hope

the calendar year are invited to attend this Annual World of
Thanks Recognition held off-campus.

Annual Report - All

recognized in the Annual Report that is included in the
Green

Leave a Legacy Guild
The
Leave a Legacy Guild is comprised of those who leave a bequest through their estate
as well as those who inform Evergreen of such a bequest or other type of planned gift.
Planned giving allows the donor to receive during one's lifetime
benefits from a charitable gift that will be made from one's
estate.
Wills,
life insurance policies, retirement accounts and other planning arrangements offer exceptional
opportunities to leave a lasting legacy through the Evergreen Foundation. Federal
and many state tax laws make it possible to reduce or eliminate gift, estate, capital
gain and income taxes on funds given to charity. Millions of Americans take advantage
of the opportunity to make charitable gifts and also reduce their tax liability. The
planned giving program inspires donors to “Focus on Forever” by making a lasting gift
that “leaves a legacy” for generations to come.
